CBAM de minimis checker
The CBAM de-minimis threshold is 50 tonnes per importer per calendar year, combined across steel, aluminium, fertilisers and cement. Electricity and hydrogen have no de-minimis — any import is in scope.

What the check tells you
- • Under 50 t combined → out of CBAM scope for that calendar year. No declaration required.
- • Over 50 t combined → all of that year's in-scope imports become reportable. There's no partial-year carve-out.
- • The threshold is checked at the importer level, not per supplier or per sector.
- • Electricity and hydrogen have no de-minimis. If you import either, you're in scope regardless of volume.
