Why Indian suppliers in particular

India is one of the biggest non-EU sources for the EU on CBAM-scope goods — flat and long steel, forgings, fasteners, castings and secondary aluminium. Response rates are low when the request comes as an English spreadsheet.

What CBAMWorks changes

  • Language. Supplier forms in Hindi, Punjabi, Gujarati and English.
  • Channel. WhatsApp first, email as backup — approved templates and automatic reminders.
  • Format. Suppliers photograph bills; the engine reads them; the supplier confirms every value.
  • Trust. Suppliers see which EU buyers they’re sharing with and can download the Commission template for others.

Clusters we focus on

  • Ludhiana — fasteners (7318), forgings (7326), hand tools.
  • Rajkot — grey-iron and SG-iron castings, machined auto parts (CN 7325, 7326).
  • Jamnagar — brass and metal parts; check each product against Annex I before assuming CBAM scope.

Verification in India

As of October 2026, no Indian conformity-assessment body has yet been recognised for EU CBAM verification. Site visits are done by EU-accredited verifiers travelling to India. CBAMWorks batches visits by cluster so cost per installation is reasonable.

See the India country page for current cluster coverage and verifier booking.
